Michael Boelen is a Dutch software developer specialized in information security. In the early years of his career, he worked for a hosting and software company named IT Construction Company. He performed system administration duties at this company, mainly on FreeBSD and Linux systems. After five years Michael switched to consultancy and started working for Snow. At his time at Snow, he worked for Philips, T-Systems, and finally ASML.
Michael is the founder of security firm CISOfy where he is involved in the day-to-day operations. Tasks include software development, blogging, sales, and support.
Michael is the author of several security tools.
