Vulnerability-alerter is a security tool to retrieve vulnerability data from NIST's database (NVD). This data can be used to discover recent vulnerabilities.
How it works
The tool downloads the latest security data from National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This project maintained by NIST is known as the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and includes the related security bulletins. The vulnerability-alerter tool parses the data and caches it locally for optimal performance.
