Tool and Usage
SIMP is short for System Integrity Management Platform. It is a project maintained by the NSA and released as an open source project.
SIMP is a framework maintained by the NSA and helps organizations with system compliance and system integrity. It is modular and uses Puppet in its base to enforce configurations.
Due to strict regulations on releasing information, this project is cautious what is releases (e.g. "Please do not upload material that has not been approved for public release.").
Usage and audience
SIMP is commonly used for security monitoring or system hardening. Target users for this tool are system administrators.

SIMP is known to work on Linux.
